The Texas Department of Criminal Justice posts lasts meal requests of inmates on death row. My last meal request: fried catfish, chicken scallopini, hush puppies, chili, toast and sausage gravy, and apple pie (well I'm going to die already in this scenario, right?).

July 16th, 200310:35 am: Pete Yorn, 1-1/4 "t"s **
Who names their child Pete Yorn? That poor guy never had a chance. Even his name sounds boring. Yep, yep Foo Fighters concert last night. You can get the lowdown from chococat66. Whether you like Foo Fighters or not, you've got to give credit to Dave Grohl. That guy has energy like nobody's business. You can tell he loves what he's doing which is oddly the charm for me. Fun concert.
My entire body aches. My legs can no longer fully extend. I'm wondering if that will be a problem when I attempt walking at all today. I blaim Elaine for it all. (Almost forgot, date with her in 50 minutes from now too. Sigh.)
We need to start planning chococat66's going away bash. The Rendezvous will rent out the top floor to us for the event -- already cleared it with them. We just need a hard date. I would love to make this a surprise but that poor girl has got ALOT on her plate in between now and her departure date. Aug 22, 23, 28, 29? (chococat66, you leave about the 29th don't you?) Anyone have different venue suggestions?

July 14th, 200310:44 am: "Someone has a serious case of the Mondays"
...god I love OfficeSpace. I've been up and working since 5:30 this morning. And during these last five hours I've only managed to chase my tail around. Ahhh, it's indeed Monday. Heading off to a conditioning class with chococat66 here in a few. I have no idea what this "conditioning class" will entail, but I imagine it will kick my ass. I've been working out so hit or miss lately. Gotta get back in the groove. Speaking of groove, I'm going to move my PS2 to the livingroom so that we have floorspace to play DDR -- after watching Richard and dmaninsa play that at Gameworks last week, I'm positive that it will be chococat66's and my best work-out option. [thinking] ...now there's an idea for an organized work-out class...
Until this morning I had forgotten I have tickets to go see Foo Fighters tomorrow night. They're playing at the Paramount. Yeah, finally I can get this out of my system. Because yes, I know. They're not ALL that. But I have left over Nirvana issues I need to come to terms with.
Off to the class now... Annie just told me that there's a man yelling "I AM A BLACK MALE", "WHITE BOY, PUSSY BOY" in front of her apartment (and apparently he just got slapped by the white boy, ahhh, the drama is unfolding). I'm quite excited to stop and pick her up now on the way to the class. The excitement of living in Belltown.

July 9th, 200307:50 pm: Torch Light Parade Party Invite
July 26th at Carlie's house. Torch Light Parade runs up and down 4th Ave and my balcony (can you call it that?) is on 4th. It's a party waiting to happen. Mark the event on your calendars, people! P.S. There will be no Jello Shots served. I promise. Current Mood: devious Current Music: buses, sirens, change being dropped in the meter...

June 17th, 200307:06 pm: The Girl Is Back In Town
First things first, you should probably check out the Shizzolator and of course, the Pornolizer. Got back from Texass Sunday night. I had so much fun there!! Of course, a certain someone tells me that one remembers a place fondly because of the company and not the place. His point well taken, I'm starting to think maybe it's not Texas I like at all. So to all my dear friends concerned, sanity may be kicking in. Maybe I DO hate Texas like the rest of you! :)
June 8th, 200308:30 am: Jizake, Bukkake and Sake
I absolutely forgot to spread the good word about my new favorite sake, Jizake. You can pick up a bottle at fine wine stores or, and I love this, Costco. Not only is it the best damned sake I've ever had, but it's called "Jizake"... it's not jizz, it's not bukkake, it's both! Wow. Those Japanese are marketing/branding geniuses. I met the infamous Brett and Paul last night. Brett is dmansia's brother and apparently, the party king. Not only does this guy have the coolest and biggest bar I've seen in my lifetime, but he also has a full light bar in his living room/move-out-the-couch-it's-a-full-on-dance-floor. Strobe lights, spot lights, rotating lights, colored lights. Brett is my hero. Paul is a rock star in his own right-- ladies man who drives a CLK 55 AMG-- that car is soooo nice. But I digress.
Went to the race track yesterday for the first time. I played one race, bet $6 and "won" $3. Hm.
After hanging out with the horses we headed off to a kegger. That's right. I said it. After a good search around and some quick math, we realized that I was officially the oldest one there. So we made the best of it and showed those kids how to drink.
Boo yah.

May 28th, 200307:36 pm: When Frat Boyz Attack
The Sasquatch Festival this weekend was a little on the lame side. I would best categorize it as "Adult Alternative Contemporary". Coldplay. [shakes head] But the view from the Gorge Ampitheater was amazing. Breathtaking at that. The last time I was there was back in '93 or so for a Stone Temple Pilots concert. Oh yeeeeah. STP! I remember being down in the front row of the mash pit. Of course, laying on the grassy hills with a group of people at this concert proved more violent. A frat boy stepped on my face! Sooo messed up. A couple scratches by the eye, a little bruising, nothing life or death. But come on frat boy! Not only did he step on my face with one running foot, but then his other foot proceeded to kick me in the head, and then he fell on me. The best part was the look on his face when he stood up -- and THEN RAN OFF.
On a more important note, I finally watched the Matrix. I was very happy to learn that Keanu Reeves only had about 4 lines. "whoa", "Is that the Matrix?", "They have good noodles", and everyone's favorite "I know kung fu". I was really afraid he was going to ruin the movie for me but all in all he was pretty irrelevent. Maybe now I'm ready for the Matrix II? Nah, that's enough Keanu for the month/year/lifetime.

Last night I finally set up the CarlieCAM. That's right boys and girls. Carlie 24/7. Wow. [shudder] Wow, even I don't want that much of me. Anyhow, if anyone's interested in my terribly fantastic life (I do shows at 10 and 12 nightly), drop me a line and I'll send you the URL.
Off to go see some sensitive-pony-tail guys from Texas play/sing at the Tractor tonight. And chococat66 promises pinball at Shorty's before hand. Yeah!

w00t! w00t! I finally went to [insert techno music here] Club Medusa! I was a bit timid about going there. Friends either tell me that it looks like oh-so-much-fun or it looks like a place you'd get puked on. I can confirm: it's indeed both. A shout-out to my partner-in-crime last night, Todd, who looks a little like Joey Tribbiani from Friends. (How YOU doin'?) After all that dancing last night, my ass hurts like a mofo today! I should have kept resting my back. Damn. It's back to being pain-stakingly awful again. Hm.
Met up with chococat66 and dmaninsa for drinks after work yesterday. It was so nice to see Mr. Pants again! Love da boys. chococat66, you did good work ropin' this one in (and vice versa, Mr. Pants!!!). ;)
